Class Experience

US Grade 10 - 12
Because of the nature of this class, I can provide different start dates. Please reach out if you would like a different start date. For Precalculus I highly recommend setting up a private 30 minute tutoring session at a discounted rate with me. You can either pay upfront for 14 weeks or just pay for the sessions you need. Precalculus covers many math topics and it would be useful to get in the habit of asking questions.

This is a flex class. That means that there are no live classes but there will be teacher and student interaction. Each week, I will post the week’s lessons and assignments in the form of videos and Desmos lessons depending on the concepts. Students will submit assignments and participate in a weekly chat on the Outschool platform. Students will also interact on the Nearpod and Desmos platforms. I will get to know you as a student through your work and your messages to me as well as your participation in our online discussions. The purpose of teaching Precalculus in this form is to allow learners more flexibility in their schedule, the subject matter will be as rigorous as other Precalculus classes. I will also be available to meet by request.

PreCalculus is a rigorous course designed to prepare students for Calculus. Students must have completed Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry before enrolling. Algebra 3 and Trigonometry concepts are part of this course. This course is presented in 2 semesters. Homework will be required but answer keys will be posted. Assessments will be used to track student progress. Please request a letter grade if required. It is up to the learner to assess each week if they need additional help. Students should have a TI -84 Calculator or equivalent (may also use Desmos) and learn to use it.
