US Grade 9 - 12
This is a semester course. For this course students need to know arithmetic, fractions, variables of expressions, order of operations, finding the area and perimeter of a square, a rectangle and a triangle, the distributive property, the coordinate plane, how to solve multi-steps equations, inequalities, Percent, ratios, rates and conversions. I will teach using the zoom whiteboard, power point slides and Desmos. We will meet once a week and I will send a worksheet every week. We will begin with Functions and Their Graphs, Linear and Quadratic Functions, then we will explore Polynomial and Rational Functions, we will continue with Exponential and Logarithmic Functions and Finish the course learning Trigonometric Functions, Analytic Trigonometry and Applications of Trigonometric Functions.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of Algebra and will be introduced to Trigonometry, to be prepared for taking Calculus.
