Class experience
🖇️ Prerequisite: None ⏳ Estimated Time Commitment Outside of Class: 1-2 hours each week that class meets ✅ The material of this class is identical to Photography Camp - Creative Photography & The Magic of Composition and Photography for Kids Series - Creative Photography & Working with Composition (ages 8-12). ✅ If your learner has taken Manual DSLR Photography 101, 201, or 101 + 201 for Teens, Manual DSLR Photography 101 + 201 for Kids, or Principles of Composition in Photography for Teens...
- Students will understand how we go about arranging a composition and how we can make changes to composition. - Students will learn six composition techniques, and practice using them in their photographs. - Students will be able to analyze the composition of a photograph by using the terms learned. - Students will learn to speak about their work with detail and pride, and share it with the group.
I hold a BA in Studio Art/Photography and Psychology, and am trained both as a photographer and as a Montessori assistant teacher. As an educator I have experience teaching children pre-K through high school.
Homework Offered
Each week, students will be assigned to create photos utilizing the new elements of composition we have learned out, culminating in a final project where they utilize them all.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
