In this fun and engaging 9-week photography course designed for Kindergarteners, students will take their first steps into the world of photography. Using simple tools like tablets or cameras, learners will explore basic photography skills such as holding a camera, pressing the button, and focusing on subjects. The course integrates observation skills with hands-on activities, allowing children to photograph shapes, colors, people, and nature. Learners will also practice describing their photos with simple sentences, and by the end of the course, they will have created a personal photo collection that reflects their surroundings and community. This course is an interactive introduction to photography for Kindergarteners. Students will explore weekly themes that connect photography to English, math, science, and social studies. They will learn to recognize shapes and colors, capture facial expressions, and document their favorite objects. Classes will participate in show-and-tell activities and receive live feedback from the teacher. They’ll also get to explore nature photography, photographing flowers, animals, and their community. In addition, students will practice using simple sentences to describe their photos, helping to strengthen both their visual and language skills. Each class will offer opportunities for active participation, with games, storytelling, and show-and-tell segments. The final week will include a fun photography challenge where students share their best photos in a virtual gallery with classmates. This course is part of a series offering a complete and comprehensive photography curriculum for all grade levels, Kindergarten through 12th grade.
