Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Jane Eyre is a classic novel that follows the often heartbreaking life of its heroine, Jane Eyre. From her cruel aunt to the halls of Lowood School and into the life of Mr. Rochester, Jane becomes an example of a woman resonating courage and self respect. This 11 week class will read and analyze the text of Jane Eyre while also, through teacher directed but student led discussion, search for societal and emotional themes still relevant to today. Because of the length of the text, students will read the majority of the story before each session and come prepared for class discussion. Jane Eyre is one of my favorite novels, and I hope my energetic approach to literature will help your student fall in love with this masterpiece of British literature.

Hi! I'm Mrs. Ginny, and I am so very excited to guide your student through the world of books! In regards to my teaching experience, I taught 7th grade English for two years and 7th-12th English for six years. I currently tutor with three tutoring companies and offer private lessons at my home.

I have a M.Ed. in English Education from William Carey University, a B.A. in English with a minor in speech communications from William Carey University, and an A.A. degree from Jones College. Before leaving the public and private school system, I held an AA teaching license.

Every time I read a new book, I feel as though I have made a new friend, and I hope to help your student see reading this way. I am extremely passionate about the written word and will use this energy to foster the bookworm in your student!

On a side note- I love spending time with my family, reading aloud to my daughter, gardening, journaling, and READING!
