Myths and Legends - The Phoenix Acrylic Painting Class
In this class we will learn all about the myth of the phoenix/firebird. We will begin class with a story about the phoenix followed by a step by step tutorial showing the children how to paint their own phoenix on canvas.

In this class we will be exploring myths and legends by learning about the magical phoenix. The phoenix is a popular myth in Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology. We will begin class with a brief story time about the legend of the phoenix. After story time we will take the remainder of class to paint our own phoenix on canvas with acrylic paint. The painting portion of the class will be a step by step tutorial on how to paint a phoenix. No previous painting experience is required to enjoy this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the mythical phoenix, while also learning beginner techniques for acrylic painting.
