Homework is not given for this course, however students are encouraged to keep an art journal and continue journaling if they enjoyed the class.Class Experience
In this class we will learn how to create an art journal. An art journal is a visual version of a written journal. It relies on images and colors to express how your are feeling and is safe space to store ideas, thoughts and dreams. This class will teach you how to begin art journaling as a daily practice. The class will provide prompts to unleash your creativity and help you build confidence through drawing and creating images.

Beginner art journaling
This lesson will cover the step by step basics on how to get started art journaling. This class will provide the student with 6 different journaling prompts to work through to challenge their creativity and build confidence. In this lesson we will also go over some basic art supplies needed to begin art journaling. 1 assignment

Composition book (optional) Sketch book (optional) Journal (optional) Paper pencil colored pencils construction paper (optional) markers paints pens ***Any type of art supplies or craft supplies will work for this course. A journal or sketchbook is recommended but not required
