US Grade 1 - 3
Intermediate Level
🌸In this ongoing class, the students will read one book a week ahead of time and come to class to discuss. The teachers at Ella Mentry School are driving A.J. crazy! Miss Daisy eats bonbons! Mr. Klutz kisses pigs! Mrs. Roopy sings silly songs! And Ms. Hannah wears dresses made out of pot holders! Pot holders? How is A.J. ever going to learn anything ? These just might be the funniest stories in the history of the world! 🌸I feel that reading, both alone or with a group, has an impact on who we are and how we interact with the world around us. No matter the students’ ages, or whether it is in a small group setting or large group discussion, conversing about books tends to turn into conversations about being human. Book clubs give each learner a sense of belonging and provides connections in many ways. My ultimate goal is to design a positive, affirming experience each time we come together. *Week 1: Mrs. Dole is Out of ControlChapters 1-6 *Week 2: Chapters 7-12 *Week 3: Mr. Sunny is Funny Chapters 1-7 *Week 4: Chapters 8-14 *Week 5: Mr. Granite is From Another Planet Chapters 1-6 *Week 6: Chapters 7-13 *Week 7: Coach Hyatt is a Riot Chapters 1-6 *Week 8: Chapters 7-13 *Week 9: Officer Spence Makes No Sense Chapters 1-6 *Week 10: Chapters 7-12 *Week 11: Mrs. Magee id Daffy Chapters 1-6 *Week 12: Chapters 7-11 *Week 13: Dr. Brad Has Gone Mad Chapters 1-6 *Week 14: Chapters 7-12 *Week 15: Miss Laney is Zany Chapters 1-6 *Week 16: Chapters 7-11 *Week 17: Mrs. Lizzy is Dizzy Chapters 1-5 *Week 18: Chapters 6-9 *Week 19: Miss Mary is Scary Chapters 1-6 *Week 20: Chapters 7-12 *Week 21: Mr. Tony is Full of Baloney Chapters 1-6 *Week 22: Chapters 7-11 *Week 23: Ms. Leakey is Freaky Chapters 1-6 *Week 24: Chapters 7-11
