📗In this ongoing class, the students will follow along on mission quests from the ancient wizard Merlin the Magician. Jack and Annie go on these series of missions in order to help the wizard Merlin, traveling to such places as Japan, Antarctica, New Orleans, and Ireland. These books are longer than the Magic Treehouse books and some take place in fantasy realms like Camelot. Kathleen and Teddy are two apprentices who befriend Jack and Annie during their adventures and occasionally join them...
- 1📗The student will work on developing and sustaining foundational language skills: listening, speaking, discussion, and thinking; oral language. 📗The student will work on developing comprehension skills by reading assigned texts, making predictions, making personal connections, and generate questions before, during and after reading. 📗The student will use text evidence to support an appropriate response. 📗The student will develop an understanding of the importance of the setting. 📗The student will be able to describe and understand plot elements, including main events, the conflict, and the resolution.
📗 I am an experienced elementary teacher and reading specialist. Reading is my passion and I love inspiring reading in the younger child!

📗 Parents, I have chosen a book series that will get the students excited to read and discuss and are appropriate for this age group. Please research each book on your own so you are comfortable with the content. As the parent or guardian, it is your role to make sure that the books are appropriate for your child as each child is different.
