One day class on multiplication, how we learn multiplication is a repeated addition. Students learn how to use the symbol ( x ) sign to perform the operation of multiplication.

Worksheet will be on file for practice of what we learned from day one. (optional) Multiplication chart on file. Everything you need will be on the file when you register. Please print them out for of what you need for the activities.

US Grade 3 - 4
What will be taught:
Multiplication as a repeated addition, for example: 6 + 6 + 6 = 18 as we write it 6 x 3 = 18
Terms to remember: multiply, multiplication, multiplicand, multiplier, product, times
Practice on number line when joining two things called a binary. Meaning multiply two numbers together at a time, multiplication is a binary operation. 
Multiply whole numbers, multiply one, two or more digits. 
Multiplication applied to measuring. How to find the area of measurement. There will be terms to remember for measuring such as area, perimeter, square in, square ft, square yd. 
Review of perimeter. 
Word problems will be given in practice requiring to multiply the problems. Such as money, and measurement etc. 
There will be some review of addition, subtraction and perimeter.
There will be a multiplication chart if needed sheet on file (optional) 
Learners will be given problems to solve, learn through slides and white board, some quizzes and lectures.  
No knowledge required, or experience. For students who need to understand multiplication at beginners level.
Learning Goals
Students will understand how to multiply one, two or more digits, word problems, the number line, math terms for multiplication and learn measurement in multiplication such as area in a square ft.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulties or logging onto zoom. Do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. Do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
