Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
This is a video game social club that meets once a week. Club members will be able to meet weekly to socialize with others who also love playing video games. Members in this club can be new players or veteran players.

Members can play any game they want to, as long as the game is appropriate for a classroom environment. Members can play games on any device.

These meetings begin with a short hello to all club members. Then, each club member will have their own turn to share their game(s) in the meeting. I think of it as a show and tell experience for gamers.

Club members will have about 10 mins each to share the game(s) they brought to the meeting. This can be done by screen sharing on Zoom, pointing the camera to the gaming screen, or simply talking about gameplay. Club members can also share something in real life they brought to the meeting. Members can show off a toy or anything they want to share with their friends.

If club members want to play together in the same game, this is also allowed with parental permission.

All club members are expected to be respectful of others when they are sharing in meetings. It is highly discouraged that club members say ANYTHING negative about other's creations, gameplay, or shared experiences. If members do not want to share, they can enjoy listening to others. It is stressed that if club members would rather be passive participants this allowed.
