US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
This interactive class will teach and reinforce alphabet letters and sounds. Topics covered include alphabet recognition and letter sounds. The class will be structured as teacher facilitated with learners up and out of their seats moving and grooving while using their bodies to make alphabet letters. A movement song will be used as learners participate. The song reinforces letter sounds. I will teach learners actively by modeling body movements and singing the song lyrics. My teaching style for this class is active and high energy. Learners will be encouraged to move along, show their own ideas for body letters and invited to sing with the teacher and classmates. Most of the class will include interaction with the teacher and fellow learners.
Learning Goals
1. Learners will move their bodies to form alphabet letters.
2. Learners will practice letter names and sounds.
3. Learners will engage in speaking with an adult and peers.
