US Grade 3 - 6
In this mini version of my Colonial History course, students will recieve a look at the various aspects of life in Colonial America. The class will be facilitated with a teacher-made powerpoint to allow students to see images of life during this time period. I believe strongly in allowing students to see/experience things firsthand. The class will include an activity for students to watch or participate in making a colonial toy if you choose to do so at home. I will use drop spindles, wool, and a loom to demonstrate the techniques used for making clothing during this time period.
Learning Goals
It is my goal to instill a desire to learn more about history or period specific life.
