US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Beginner - Intermediate Level
The initial session will begin with a few diagnostic activities that will tell me where the student’s needs lie. Depending on the student’s needs, we will practice in a variety of ways. Below is listed some of the activities for different needs. Letter recognition: Songs, Alphabet Scavenger Hunt Letter sounds: Flash cards, Word games Three letter words: Beginning blending word games, Playdoh words, etc. Blends/Diagraphs: Songs, Matching games, Scavenger hunt Etc. We will use a variety of methods based on your student and how they learn best.
Learning Goals
Reading has many stages for a reader to be fluent. My goal is to help them proceed to the next stage and give them the confidence to continue on their reading journey!

I have taught over 100 children to read during my time as a teacher and as an adult with ADHD and Dyslexia myself, I am especially equipped to help students with these learning differences.

I am a teacher who taught grades 1st-6th for nine years in the public school system. Now I homeschool my son and daughter while also teaching classes at our local co-op. I hold a current teaching certificate in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I believe every child can learn! I believe strongly in using a child's interests to propel their education. I love to teach a variety of skills. I believe children should have a well rounded education and that is why I teach a multitude of topics!
