All you need to create incredible special effects is a camera phone or tablet and the iMovie app. This video-editing course teaches a variety of special effects through structured mini-projects that all lead to a final movie. This is my favorite course to teach because I love seeing how much fun families are having making these movies together. Each lesson in this course teaches 1 special effect and corresponds to one scene from the movie you will make by the end of the course. When compiled at the end of the course, the these scenes are combined to tell a larger story (about 5 minutes).
