Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner Level
This is a 8-day course. While most sections run weekly, others are twice a week and during the summer, I run the days consecutively as a camp.

In each class, one of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids will be introduced through a short, silly story. Learners will engage in interactive activities where the students can apply that Habit or Life Skill to solve challenges. Each student will receive a worksheet about the habit that will be discussed in that day's lesson. There will be role-plays, where problem solving and some basic reading is involved (if the learner is comfortable.) Learners will set a goal for the upcoming week/day on how they will apply the habit. This goal setting related to the habit, encourages self-awareness and personal growth. We discuss and follow up on their accomplishments, thus creating a supportive learning environment where students can share their experiences and learn from each other.

The culminating activity in the 8th class, is where each learner presents and teaches their chosen habit to their classmates. This is a fantastic way to foster public speaking skills and boost confidence. It allows students to become both learners and teachers, reinforcing their understanding of the habits and their potential impact on their lives. They may use pictures, a project, Google Slides or oral for this presentation

During the summer (and at other possible times,) I run the 7 Habits class as a Camp. It will be run in 2 weeks, 4 days a week, covering a habit, a day. It's a little fast paced, but OH so FUN!!

I love this book. I have read and discussed this book with my children and other children through the years. I have witnessed that as children applied the habits, there is a difference in his/her attitude and a determination to better his/her life and the lives of those around them.
