1-2 hours per week. Students will complete projects independently during the week, and share images to the classroom page under the weekly video post. Homework time may vary depending on complexity of project (students will be shown how to complete a project, but the design is theirs so they may create something meaningful to them).Class Experience
In this class, students will work with the Cricut Design Space, and create new and fun projects! The projects presented in these flex lessons are designed for beginners who are learning how to use the program, and different attachments for projects. For four weeks, I will demonstrate how to create projects that will range from the following: -Fun and colorful labels for cups, binders, house projects, etc. - Iron-on projects for book bags, pillows, and shirts - Cards for any occasion -Metal engraving for jewelry, dog tags, and more! (Great for gifts for family!) - Any other ideas you would like to see- message me for ideas if you have a special project you would like to learn, and I will do my best to fit it in if time allows. Individuals taking this session should be familiar with Cricut Design Space, and how to use the Cricut on a basic/beginning level. We will go step by step in each area to learn how to use more advanced settings to create projects. This requires some extra outside of class time to create projects, as this is a flex class, and time will vary based on the project you select to create, as more complex designs will take longer to create. When done, students will post completed projects to our classroom page, where they will interact with other students. I will also provide feedback here, and answer any questions students may have on how to troubleshoot projects. Projects can be shared in OutSchool as an attachment message or as a reply to class discussion posts by sharing the file. Students will interact with each other in OutSchool, and are asked to provide positive feedback on each other's projects. Projects will be due by Friday the week of each flex posting (videos will be available on Monday of each week), and feedback is expected to be posted by Sunday evening. I will provide feedback on each post on Sunday evenings. By the end, you will be able to create fun projects for you, and gifts for others :) You will also learn to troubleshoot some common issues with the Cricut device and Design Space. Live sessions may be offered for tutoring upon request.

In addition, in-app purchases are possible in Design Space. Please have your account not set up to purchase without a credit card, or be with your child during design to prevent in-app purchases.

I have been a teacher for 10 years, working with students as young as pre-school and through college, and have been a home business owner for 3 years. I have used the Cricut for many different items in my shop, along with personal daily uses, and even in my classroom. I love teaching friends and family how to make new items, along with sharing my designs with others. I teach simplistically to optimize learning in an explained step-by-step approach so users can follow along and complete the tasks with me.
