Calling all prince and princesses! Each week we will focus on a new aspect of being a princess. Studies show that young students learn best through play. This class is designed to keep the students engaged through games, stories, and crafts. We will talk about crowns, castles, and specific princesses. Students will have time to talk about princesses and develop social skills. The lessons will use a variety of materials to make different crafts. Each week an academic concept will be connected to the princess and/or craft. These will change every week. Patterns, measuring, memory, animals, and story telling are a few examples of things that will be taught. Students will be encouraged to be creative and unique. The main focus will always be to have fun!!! Most of the classes will include making a craft. Some crafts may take longer and will need to be finished after class. Please watch for the materials list and printouts each week. Students are welcome to dress in their favorite prince or princess attire. They may also bring a favorite princess doll to share with the class. You may want to have an apron or paint shirt near by for some of the crafts. This ongoing class is designed for students to come and go as needed.
Learning Goals
Students will learn social skills and art skills. They will also learn and review other academic concepts in all areas.

Not only did they learn their ABC's, but they were introduced to a variety of topics including gravity and space! My next experience was organizing and teaching a neighborhood preschool. I have worked with the children K-12 as a substitute teacher and online. I also volunteered at the local elementary school to help students improve their reading skills. I teach ESL online and I have my TESOL certificate. I have taught children cooking, sewing, and craft classes in our local 4-H program. I enjoy working with all age groups. I just love teaching!
