Description
Class Experience
I love to design and make hand-crafted, art pieces to enjoy myself or to share with friends and family! In this class, you get to create beautiful works of art, and also make new friends in a safe environment conducive to both creativity and communication. You will create a variety of one-of-a-kind pieces that you and/or your recipient will love! In this course, we will explore various arts and crafts projects, such as: painting, tie dying, and origami, just to name a few. We will sit...
The students will be able to: 1. Communicate freely with their peers and create new bonds of friendship. 2. Design various projects using various arts and crafting techniques. 3. Create items for themselves, as decor and/or as gifts for others. 4. Stimulate their love of learning and of the arts.
There may be a moderate amount of homework. This will consist of: 1. The gathering of the necessary supplies for that week's project. 2. The preparation of some of the pieces of the project before that week's lesson. 3. The completion of some of the pieces, as necessary.
I am going to place here the supplies needed for the first class. I will then send you a note each week with that week's supplies. 1. Table covering to handle any spills or messes 2. Watercolor paper or any paper will suffice 3. Brushes 4. A cup of water 5. Paper towels on hand to handle any spills or messes 6. Watercolor paints, especially red and green
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be informal assessments made throughout each class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The students in this class will be using items such as: hot glue guns, scissors, paints, etc. It is recommended that there is parental supervision as needed and deemed by the parent. Additionally, sometimes crafting can create messes. The use of proper coverings for the workspace is recommended, as well.
