Remember - There are additional sections open on Rapid-Fire practice drill Math SAT Prep- take all to prep for your next SAT! That means several DIFFERENT problem sets your learner can be doing each week between now and May. Students taking these 25-minute sessions are maximizing their exposure to as many different kinds of SAT problems between now and May. Is your learner? Don’t just sign up for 1- do all four if you can. I have coached students into bringing up their math score over 300 points simply by exposing them to and explaining as many different math problems as possible. The problem set for Monday's section is different from other sections, which is different from Wednesday's or Thursdays. Here is the weekly schedule so that you can see that there are 40 problem sets and each section is on a different part of the rotation so your student can maximize his/her practice exposure by enrolling in multiple sections. Also, my other classes, like the comprehensive instruction class (which has over 33 lessons), the word problem class, and the advanced class do not overlap the same problems as this class. Also note that this specific course covers ALL types of Math SAT questions - up to 8 each session, so these questions will not lean towards only the easiest or only the hardest. This class is has all the levels of questions mixed together as they would on the exam. Each section on different days of the week has a different problem set so that by the time we rotate all the way through all the questions, months have passed by. If your learner continues for months and months because he/she likes the discipline and experience of sharpening skills regularly, rotating through for additional iterations will feel like a fresh experience again. Students will gain from working the problems with the teacher. In other words, I make sure each day has different questions so that a student can sign up for more than one day and have different questions. Has your learner been trying to make themselves look at those "daily questions" to practice the SAT, but either didn't have someone holding them accountable or didn't have a live teacher helping them understand the question? This fifteen-minute session is offered in many separate weekly sections so that your learner can pick as many days of the week to do this as he/she is comfortable with. And if your student misses it, the video will be online for the student to review. I've been teaching math for sixteen years and I've been a personal SAT tutor for seven years. My students have typically raised their scores between 150 and 300 points. Learners reinforce their skills in algebraic terminology and tricks! We all study and prepare for the SAT as best as we can. And we may even feel like we can do algebra pretty well. But what separates the good SAT math scores from those of excellence is the student who doesn't have to stop to try to remember how to approach something. While everyone sometimes has to do that, there is still hope! There are certain tricks and terms in algebra that can be drilled and reinforced for speed. That could make big difference in your final score! This class will take SAT Practice questions and work through them with the students to keep them on track for being ready for the PSAT/SAT. I keep the class lively, informative, and encourage learner input while helping every understand we're in the same boat - everyone is learning! Buckle in! It's going to be a fun class!
Learning Goals
Among the topics that will be covered with the goal of increase recollection speed and accuracy are: how to expand using brackets, combining like terms, quickly doing substitutions, deciding which line from a graph has a positive or negative slope, recognizing words typically used in word problems and how they usually translate to equations, how to represent a rate of decrease in an equation, the difference between equations and functions, point-slope formula when looking at a graph.
Your student will come out of this game far more quick-on-their-feet for the math SAT.

I've taught SAT prep for over 12 years now with strong record of improving SAT scores by as much as 300 points. It isn't just the knowledge and expertise as a math teacher that helps me be successful. It's also knowing and understanding the hearts of the learner who is preparing for this test and preparing for life after college. I know how to get the learner to appreciate the beauty in how to solve the SAT math problems quickly and elegantly.
I've been certified in the public schools for teaching math in middle and high schools. I received additional certified training for gifted and talented learners. I taught math for sixteen years and I've been a personal SAT tutor for seven years. My students have typically raised their scores between 100 and 300 points. As a chemical engineer and project management professional in the world of business consulting and information technology consulting, I've completed over five levels of college calculus and applied mathematics and used these math and computing skills throughout my career.
The students I have taught had varying learning abilities that ranged from one with pronounced learning disabilities to gifted and talented. When it came to PSAT's and SAT's, each of them with impressive improvements in their scores.
It can be done! Just watch how your learner improves!
