This past June I helped a student prepare for the SAT Math test by giving him a variety of past SAT Math questions. I gained alot of insights about the SAT Math test that I want to share with students to help them to be confident going in.
Class Experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Don't go into the SAT Math test without some solid preparation. My introductory class will give you a great overview of the SAT Math Test and will motivate you to come up with a study plan to go over the various topics on the test. We will cover the following Math topics: number and operations; algebra and functions; geometry and measurement; and data analysis, statistics, and probability. Prior to the class, students will be asked to share what areas of Math they need help reviewing. And...
- Students will practice a variety of past SAT Math questions in the areas of Algebra and Functions, Geometry and Measurement, and Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability.
- Students will gain insights and confidence about the types of questions on the Math SAT.
- Students will identify weaknesses to address with practice prior to the Math SAT test.
I am currently a Math Interventionist Teacher for Catapult Learning at a High School on Oahu. This past June I helped a student to prepare for the SAT Math part of the test by providing him with lots of practice questions and then explaining and discussing the solutions with him. I gained insights into the type of questions on the test and the variety of topics that I would like to share with other students to help them do the best they can. I have a Masters in Math Secondary Education.
