SAT Prep: Math Review for College Applicants With Math Planets

Here at Math Planets, we want to support students in their goals! SAT review can be vital in achieving higher scores, as higher scores can open up more opportunities. This class will cover any and all math topics that may appear in the SAT.

In this 1on1 class, we will cover any topics your student may need to review or learn to be confident and prepared for the SAT. If needed, we can do a practice test to determine topics that need further support if it is not already known. 

Some of the topics that can be covered include the following:

-Heart of Algebra: linear functions, linear inequalities, systems of equations, solving equations, and graphing
-Advanced Math: quadratics, nonlinear expressions, radicals, rational exponents, polynomials, graphing, and solving equations
-Problem Solving / Data Analysis: ratios, rates, proportions, units, tables, scatterplots, growth functions, and interpreting data
-Miscellaneous: geometry and trigonometry

We will also cover test taking strategies such as process of elimination and time management as we cover various topics. We can also cover how to use calculators, including graphing calculators, if applicable. 

Feedback will be given to parents before the next class happens.

Other Details

Learning Needs
We offer classes specifically for Neurodivergent students. Please check one of those out or reach out to us privately so we can ensure that your student(s) are properly supported.
Supply List
Please bring a notebook and a pencil for hand written calculations. A notebook specifically for math or SAT math prep is recommended to maintain organization. If you need assistance with using a calculator, please also bring that and let us know what calculator you will be using.
