1. Learners will explore the origins and early influences of K-Pop music. 2. Learners will trace K-Pop’s evolution to global recognition. 3. Learners will examine iconic K-Pop dance moves for inspiration. 4. Learners will perform popular vocal techniques used in K-Pop music. 5. Learners will analyze K-Pop music videos and their storytelling. 6. Learners will collaborate to plan and create an imaginary K-Pop group.
Miss Suzanne is a certified K-12 music teacher with a decade of experience teaching music in New Jersey's public schools. Intrigued by her elementary students' interest in K-Pop, she has collaborated on many aspects of this course with her musically talented sister, who is fluent in Korean and has traveled to South Korea.
Homework Offered
All work for this course including the collaborative final project will be completed during class time and there is no formal homework for this class.Assessments Offered

This course utilizes Padlet, a COPPA-compliant third party tool which offer learners the option to create accounts, although doing so is not mandatory for them to participate in the activities for this course. Learners will also utilize Google Forms for some classwork assignments. Students will need a Google account in order to submit classwork assignment via Google Forms.
