Is your child a budding graphic designer? Unlock their creativity and enroll in this seven-week graphic design course! This course will introduce your child to Canva, a user-friendly, web-based graphic design tool. 🍎 What Will Be Taught This class will introduce learners to the versatile design platform Canva, covering a range of creative applications. They will begin by exploring pre-designed templates and creating their own, followed by a deep dive into Canva's toolbar and exporting options. Learners will craft social media graphics, design visually appealing presentations, and create dynamic videos and reels. Additionally, they will discover unique uses for Canva, such as designing greeting cards, calendars, and posters, and will enhance their designs using Canva's AI-driven features. 🎨 Class Structure This seven-week course is structured to keep young learners motivated and engaged throughout the journey of graphic design. Each weekly session is designed to build on the previous one, gradually expanding your child's skills and creativity. 🖌️ How the Class Will Be Taught Each week’s lesson will begin with a live demonstration of the concept by Miss Suzanne. Once the concept is demonstrated, students will be given “studio-time” to explore templates, create, ask questions and share their work with their classmates. 👩🏼🏫 Teacher Style In this course, I keep demonstrations concise to ensure students have ample creative time. Doing so fosters an ongoing dialogue, and I encourage students to ask questions as they explore new tools. My ultimate goal is for each child to feel confident in their abilities to create graphics using Canva. 🙋🏽 Teacher-Student and Learner Interaction The size of this class is kept small to ensure personalized attention and interaction. The class is also nurtured as a collaborative environment to encourage peer learning. 🧠 Prerequisites No prior graphic design experience is required to join this course. All your child needs is a computer and a Canva account. Your child may choose to use a free Canva account or opt to upgrade to a pro account to unlock all premium graphics. Your child may also be eligible for an account upgrade through the Canva for Students program (message me for more details!)
