Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Join Miss Mackenzie in traveling through the United States, uncovering the wonders of a new state each week. Designed especially for younger learners, this class promises a fun and interactive experience packed with geographic information, fun facts, and drawing each week. Each class we will learn about the state's capital, landforms, nature, wildlife, and various other fun facts. We will cover all 50 states and each week we will focus on an individual state. I recognize that many Outschool learners are from all over the world and they are ALL welcome in my class! Bachelor's Degree in Science from Indiana University
Hi friends! My name is Miss Mackenzie. Welcome to my profile!

The classes that I love to teach are social studies, geography, and circle time for young learners!

I graduated from Indiana University in 2019 with my bachelors degree in Allied Health Sciences. I worked as an ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician for over 3 years. I worked primarily with elementary aged kiddos on the autism spectrum! I have been teaching online since 2021 and love every minute of it.

My teaching philosophy includes setting my learners up for success, as well as having fun in the classroom! I like to utilize games, activities, and art. I want each student to succeed and feel safe when I am their teacher! I truly believe that learners learn best when they are having fun. This is why each of my classes feature some sort of drawing or sharing activity.

I absolutely love being a mom and spending time with family! I have a three year old daughter, a one year old daughter, and a fur baby (a four year old silver Labrador Retriever.) I'm from the Midwest and I love camping, boating, and pretty much anything outdoors!
