We will make make fun projects that they can easily repeat after class. Students will be able to practice their crochet skills, learn new concepts and challenge themselves to extend their abilities, speed and diligence in creating completed projects.
I've been crocheting since I was about 10 years old.....a very, very long time! It still brings me joy and I get excited when I find a new idea or pattern I want to try. My latest fun project is crochet cupcakes! They are sooooo cute! It makes me very happy also to share this wonderful craft with others.
Basic materials needed: 1-2 skeins or more of medium weight acrylic yarn in a light color if possible (lighter colors are clearer on camera) A crochet hook (about a 4mm-5mm or a size suitable for the yarn) A darning/yarn needle A stitch marker Scissors Safety eyes Stuffing Handouts with the patterns and materials will also be available on the class page to view and/or print.
Scissors will be used in class. Supervision will be left to the discretion of the parents. Also, if safety eyes are used on the amigurumi projects, please keep in mind that they can be a choking hazard for small children and pets.
