💰If you are new to me, use code JENNYTRYIT3 to take $3 off any of my classes!💰 In this course we will meet once a week to make a different Mario Bros. themed paper art craft. I will provide step by step instructions to make each project. As we craft, students will also be able to freely discuss all things Mario with other kids who are Mario crazy too! All skill levels are welcome to join and the supplies needed are minimal. Students will be able to suggest characters they would like to create in future classes.I will provide PDF templates for each activity. Students will have the opportunity to show their creations to the class if they choose to! My class setting is a relaxed, fun, open space for all students to be able to discuss and express their thoughts about what we are learning. I encourage student interaction with not only myself but with their fellow classmates. Everyone is expected to be respectful, positive and listen to one another but also feel like they have the ability to share their own thoughts and opinions. I believe learning should be fun and try to provide a space for that to happen. As a neurodivergent teacher myself, I incorporate different learning styles (visual, hands-on etc.) to make sure everyone is included & is able to find learning styles that work best for them. I strive to find a balance that includes everyone!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to practice their instruction following skills as well as their art and imagination skills. They will also have the ability to socialize with fellow Mario fans and have a great time!

Supply List
There will be a PDF I will provide and materials will be poster before class. Colored construction paper, scissors and glue/ glue stick are usually all that is needed.

Hi! I love to teach classes that are fun and promote discussion and creativity. In all of my classes I mix critical thinking with out of the box thinking so that the kids learn something brand new! I find the best way to do this is by using books, video games, trivia and other interactive components to keep them engaged and wanting to learn.
My passion for critical thought stems from my degree in Philosophy. The integration of pop culture in my classes is rooted in a lifetime of toy collecting, video game playing, and during my time as a staff writer for an online comic book review site. Over the past five years I have created community-based, pop-up craft classes for parents and children that integrate culture and thought, and I am excited about the opportunity to share these types of activities with my students!
Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and three cats! I like online gaming and spending a lot of time crafting.Reviews
