Welcome to my ongoing absolute beginners crochet class! I'm so happy you're here! In this ongoing class students will make fun new things and practice their skills every week. In each lesson, we will make make easy beginner projects that learners can easily repeat after class. I have enjoyed the art of crochet since I was about 10 years old....for about 4 decades! I love this craft, it brings me joy and I consider it a privilege to share it with others.
This class is for absolute beginners in crochet who have learned the basic stitches. Learners should know how to hold their hook and yarn, and how to make chain stitches, single crochet stitches and double crochet stitches.
Basic materials needed: 1-2 skeins or more of medium weight acrylic yarn in a light color if possible (lighter colors are clearer on camera) A crochet hook (about a 5mm or a size suitable for the yarn) A darning/yarn needle Scissors Stitch markers Stuffing They may also need safety eyes (optional) Files with the patterns and materials will also be available each week on the class page to view, save, and/or print.
Scissor will be used in class. Supervision will be left to the discretion of the parents. Also, if safety eyes are used on the amigurumi projects, please keep in mind that they can be a choking hazard for small children and pets.
