In this one-time class, students will learn to make single and double crochet stitches. These are a couple of the most commonly used stitches in crochet patterns and are essential in many projects. PLEASE NOTE: This class is suitable for students who know how to hold the hook and yarn, make slip knot and chain stitches . If your learner needs to learn those skills please enroll in this class...
Students will build on their skills (holding the hook and yarn and making chain stitches) and learn to do the single and double crochet stitches.
Practice makes perfect they say, so I encourage students to spend some time week (or each day if possible) practicing their stitches.
Materials needed for this class are: * A crochet hook * A skein of worsted weight yarn (number 4) in a lighter color if possible * Scissors
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Scissors will be used, so parental supervision may or may not be needed. It is left to the parent's discretion.
