Class Experience

I believe playing music positively influences one's creativity, communication skills, self-esteem and stress management. In this ongoing course for beginners, students will learn traditional fiddle songs, improvisition and create their own music.
In this beginers fiddle course, students will learn 
1) Tuning the fiddle
2) Basic fiddling techniques
3) Playing by ear 
4) Music reading
5) Simple Improvisition 
6) Simple fiddle tunes

Knowing how to improvise is a great skill. It allows music players to express their feelings better, play with other musicians together and also helps with stage fright. We focus on playing by ear in this beginners course. After students handle all the basic techniques and knowledge, please consider my course for the next level: Individual Fiddle Class for Intermediate Students.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to play an instrument by ear. 
Simple music reading will be introduced. 
Knowing how to improvise to express their emotions.
Playing a simple traditional fiddle tune

Supply List

Please prepare a violin and 1 or 2 sets of violin strings.

I'm a violinist/fiddler with 15+ years of teaching experience and 10+ years of stage performance experience as a symphony orchestra violin player and a contemporary music soloist.
