Each class will consist of warm-ups, improvisation games and exercises, and verbal evaluations. Students will learn the Rules of Improv and use those rules to create improvised short-form scenes. Note: Live participation is a must so that I can hear and help each student as they work on their improvisation skills. Students will work on: 1. Building their confidence. 2. Quick-thinking skills. 3. The Rules of Improv. 4. How to work with other improvisers to forward the scene. 5. How to create interesting characters. 6. Practicing improvisational skills through short-form scenes. Parents will receive overall feedback about their child's work after the last class.

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Utah. I have over 25 years of teaching experience in both traditional and nontraditional school settings. And, I currently hold a teaching license in secondary education in Theatre.
I am a lifelong learner and continue to look for ways to improve my teaching. My goal is to foster a friendly and safe environment for students to explore acting.
When I'm not teaching I love to sing karaoke, kickbox, spend time with my family, and snuggle with my kitties, Ozzie and MoMo.
