Improvisation & Creation Station

The dancers will learn how to challenge their freestyle/improv movement. Improv is the starting point for creators and choreographers. Therefore, it is important to learn different tools and strategies they can use to create movement. This class is filled with energy, movement, and idea sharing. Ms. Erin is a professional choreographer and dancer, so she is here to share all of the strategies and lessons she has found useful in her own studies and dance creations. The class will begin with a short improv warm-up and then lead into discussion based movement and exploration for the rest of class. The students can bring a dance journal or piece of paper to write down the strategies discussed through class. No previous dance studio training is required. We all groove and move to music, which makes us all dancers!
