In this 30 minute class, beginning music students will be introduced to the common symbols used in musical notation such as whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, rests and their number of beats, learn the musical alphabet A-G, and how to read and recognize line notes and space notes on a grand staff by using a simple acronym. This will be a lecture style class that will be using google slides with pictures and descriptions. Student are encouraged to ask questions during and after class. Students must know how to recognize numbers (1-4) and letters (A-G) in order to take this course.
