In this one time class, young ballerinas ages 8-12 will learn how to do their own hair and makeup for ballet recitals. Since different studios have different requirements, this course will demonstrate how to do basic stage hair and makeup.

Description
Class Experience
In this one time class, students will learn about stage makeup and why it is important during ballet performances. Students will learn how to do basic stage hair and makeup by video demonstration. In the video, I will discuss why stage makeup is important for on stage performances, show students the materials needed in order to their own stage hair and makeup at home and demonstrate step by step how to put their hair in a ballet bun and how to apply different types of makeup to the face...
Students will learn the importance of stage hair and makeup in ballet performances, the hair and makeup materials needed, and how to apply them to their hair and face.
I am a dance mom to a ballet dancer and have a number years of experience doing her hair and makeup for shows and recitals.
Students can follow along or practice outside of class.
Comb, elastic bands, bobby pins, hair spray, moisturizer, foundation (liquid or stick that matches their skin tone), black eyeliner, black mascara, eyeshadow palette (colors depending on your studio), eyebrow powder or pencil, red lipstick and blush (color depending on your studio).
Students can comment on their experience.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Allergic reaction to makeup while using certain makeup products may occur like burning, itching, breakouts, or swelling. Please test makeup on small areas of skin before applyIng on the face. Discontinue makeup if allergic reactions continue.
