This class is the second in the series on healthy snacks. I will demonstrate how to prepare the snacks in real time along with the students. The recipes are easy to prepare and will build on the skills that we learned in the first class. I will demonstrate how to prepare the snacks in real time along with the students. It is a fun class and we will go at the pace of the children. The ingredient list will be provided ahead of time and will be common pantry/fridge items. The snacks are gluten -free, and I can provide nut-free and vegan options if I know of those preferences ahead of time. Students will need the following ingredients: nuts or seeds of choice, oats, milk, sweetener, gluten free flour of choice, berries, salt, and vanilla extract.
Learning Goals
1. Students will learn to measure, combine and assemble ingredients to create snacks.
2. Students will be guided to think of creative variations of the snacks prepared.

Parents may need to pre-cut/or pre-measure certain ingredients as per the ease or comfort of the parent and child.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I’m thrilled to offer this class as I know how much children enjoy cooking and helping in the kitchen. For young children, being able to complete a project independently and successfully is vital in their development. Cooking is a fun and motivating way for kids to feel accomplished.
