The class may use direct instruction, games, slides, and video clips as deemed educationally appropriate. The goal for this style of class is to engage students as much as possible in their own learning with our horses, using effective communication skills, with an ongoing focus on "all things horses." My teaching style is always student-centered and I will be teaching live from our farm. If students have topics they want to discuss in future classes, they are asked to share them prior to the next class. Students should have a keen interest in learning something new about horses and asking questions. There is no specific experience necessary for students to take this class.

With a lifetime of living with (and loving) horses, this class would have been a dream come true for me as a young person. After spending the past 20+ years breeding, raising and showing horses (English and Western), I am so excited to share what I have learned about horses with students. As a life-long learner and educator/leader, I always look for ways to incorporate effective communication skills, and this talk-show style class combines my areas of interest and expertise.
