This one-time session will teach participants how to properly set a basic place setting at the table, as well as practice basic dining etiquette.
Class experience
Students will have an opportunity to interact with the teacher and one another as they learn and put into practice proper dining ettiquette. During this 40-minute workshop, oral repetition and hands-on learning will be emphasized as each student learns and applies proper place settings and common dining etiquette. Students will gain an understanding of proper dining etiquette related to handling tableware and a napkin. They will have an opportunity to learn how to address wait staff, order from a menu, and use basic manners.
My background in teacher education and my experience in leadership have allowed me to practice proper etiquette for many years with many different audiences. It has been a keen interest of mine and I feel it is becoming a lost art. I hope to change that by offering this unique class!
Students will need to have the ability to bring tableware (plate, knife, fork, spoon, drinking glass) and a napkin to our live class setting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
