Description
Class Experience
Students will interact with the teacher and one another as they practice proper dining ettiquette. Oral repetition and hands-on learning will be emphasized with place and table settings. Good communication skills include addressing wait staff, ordering from a menu, and using basic manners while dining will be topics covered in this class.
Students will gain an understanding of proper dining etiquette related to handling tableware and a napkin. They will have an opportunity to learn how to address wait staff, order from a menu, and use basic manners.
My background in teacher education and my experience in leadership have allowed me to practice proper etiquette for many years with many different audiences. It has been a keen interest of mine and I feel it is becoming a lost art. I hope to change that by offering this unique class!
Students will need access to tableware (plate, knife, fork, spoon, drinking glass) and a napkin for practice.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
