This self-paced geography class is designed for curious learners who want to explore the world flexibly, similar to my popular ongoing Let’s Travel The World Together class. Perfect for students who may not be able to commit to a fixed schedule, this class offers the freedom to learn at their own pace while discovering a new country each week! ✈️ In this engaging class, we will dive into the geography, culture, customs, languages, cuisine, wildlife, landmarks, and fascinating facts about various countries. Each lesson incorporates real travel experiences from the teacher, providing students with authentic insights into what it’s like to visit each destination. 🗺️ What You’ll Receive: 🎥Pre-recorded educational videos featuring essential information such as location, capital, flag, climate, and geographical features. 🎥 📚A Self-Paced Nearpod presentation to follow along while watching the video, enhancing the learning experience. 🎮A Kahoot Game PIN (optional) for an interactive quiz to test your knowledge. Interactive Learning Activities - Students will participate in the Nearpod slides by: 💬 Sharing their prior knowledge about the featured country (responses can be typed or submitted via short video/audio recordings). 🌐 Engaging in polls, quizzes, virtual field trips, and other interactive activities. 🎮 After exploring the new material, students will enjoy a fun Kahoot game to reinforce their learning. They’ll also be encouraged to upload completed worksheets or videos discussing: 🌏What they already knew about the country 🌍The most interesting facts they discovered 🌍Their reasons for wanting (or not wanting) to travel to the respective country. Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Science from University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business
I am a global nomad and have visited over 85 countries, passionate about sharing these experiences and knowledge with others. While visiting these countries I was fortunate enough to meet many local people that helped me get exposure and better understanding of the local cultures and traditions.
I am a certified language teacher with over 3 years experience. However, please note that this is not a language class, and we will not speak in depths about any languages.
NOTE: This is a geography class, which introduces the country in general terms. Mentioning the languages spoken in the country and its general culture is a very small part of this class, and these topics will not be covered in depth.
