Class Experience
Is your child interested in begining or expanding their graphic design journey? This one-on-one class is a great option for learners who thrive with personalized instruction. I will work with any skill level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced! The learner will get the chance to inform instruction as they choose a topic or project they would like to complete! If the leaner does not have a specific project in mind, I will create a lesson based on their skill level and interests. (This could include, but is not limited to, an image or a GIF.) The session will be all about the learner and meeting their design needs as we navigate different features in Canva together.

Parental Guidance
This class requires the use of the FREE online program, Canva. In order to create an account, you must be age 13 and up. Please visit canva.com to create an account with your child prior to our first class. You do not need to pay for Canva Pro. We will use the free version.
Supply List
A device to run Zoom and Canva. Optional: two devices, one to run Zoom and one to run Canva. It is required to use Canva in a web browser like Chrome or Safari rather the app for mobile devices. Create an account at canva.com (free version).

Hello! I am Ms. Laura. I have 15 years of experience working with children. I volunteered with children in the community for 5 years and have taught in the classroom for 5 years (Preschool-8th grade), and have been teaching in the online classroom for 5 years! I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (2014) and a Master’s degree in Technology Enhanced Teaching (2018).
I love learning and teaching! My favorite topics are graphic design and science. Authentic learning is my favorite mode of education.
