What's included
1 live meeting
1 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will explore the geometric fractals called Sierpinski's Triangle and Cantor's Dust through hands-on activities, teacher guided discussion and group participation. Topics Include: Introduction to Fractals and Fractal Geometry Recursive Processes for creating Cantor's Dust and Sierpinski's Triangle Numerical patterns found in the two fractals Writing equations/functions to represent numerical patterns Connections to real-world fractals. Students are expected to be able to find the area of a triangle, work with radicals and have a basic understanding of how to look for patterns in numerical sequences. Students should have at least a Pre-Algebra background. Follow-up activities will be suggested.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Too many math classes leave out the fun stuff! I love linking math with history and art and other subjects, as well as showing the interconnectedness of the different branches of math.
