We will review the 70 basic phonograms and spelling rules using games and other activities and using Google Slides, Bitpaper, and Quzlet to present a mini-lessonfollowed by group games or activities to reinforce the topic. Here are the topics: -Vowels -Consonants -Syllabication -Syllable Types -The C Rule -The G Rule -Three Sounds of A -Three Sounds of O -Two Sounds of E -Two Sounds of I -Three Sounds of Y -Two Sounds of S - The CK Rule -The Floss Rule -The Silent Final E Rule -The "Find Gold" Rule -Breaking Words into Syllables

Thank you for looking at this club description. Your child's reading skills are critical to so much development over the next few years. Please stay close to the computer so that you can assist your child should technical problems occur and to keep them on task if needed. I look forward to working with you to keep learning to read fun in your world.
Pre-Requisites
Students should know their letter names, recognize them, and write them neatly. It will be helpful if they are beginning to learn the 70 basic phonograms from an intensive phonics curriculum such as Spell to Write and Read.
Meet the teacher

My first career and passion was teaching high school English. Since then my work has included home educating my own children, teaching as a reading interventionist to elementary and middle school students, and corporate training.
I have successfully used this method to help do reading intervention for elementary and middle school children. For the past six years, I have helped dozens of students achieve reading success using intensive phonics. See ClassicalStartTutoring for more recommendations than the ones listed below.
