This is a creative writing course geared toward learners who love to write and want to improve their craft! We will be talking about interesting ways to engage their audience's attention, and to keep them engaged. This class will specifically be going over how to use the five senses to create imagery in a story. This is a quick and easy technique that all creative writers should have. Students will learn how to enhance their creative writing skills to make their writing sound more interesting and engage their audience. Students will also learn how to hold their audience's attention using the five senses in descriptive scenes with imagery.

The learner will be assessed with a formative assessment during the class that shows whether or not they have met the learning targets. If they have not, then the learner will have a chance in class to ask questions and work closer with the teacher to work on their skills.Grades Offered
- A student's own sample of creative writing of at least a paragraph in length or more that they would like to use this technique to improve (highly recommended) - Some means of writing (electronic, paper and pencil, etc.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There may be trigger warnings in the student's own individual writing that they bring to class. I ask that students always give out trigger warnings if there are any sensitive topics that they want to go over and improve in class.
