This ongoing course is structured based on each student's unique learning needs. The first session will typically consist of reading assessments (structured in a fun way) so that I can get a feel for where the students are at and what their specific learning needs are. Then, we will work together to accomplish the student's individual learning goals. I will track improvement and keep in contact with families so that they know how their learner is progressing toward their goals. There are MANY different types of learning goals for students and sometimes the toughest part is identifying them. That is why my tutoring starts with assessments, and identifying goals to work towards. Below is a list of common goals I have helped my students improve upon, but keep in mind, any goal is one worth working towards and I'm happy to identify them and work with each learner individually!

Example goals for learners:
- I don't like reading/writing, and I want to learn to love it!
- I am not confident in my reading/writing/spelling, and I get upset when I make a mistake, I want to feel more confident!
- I want to learn how to read/write different genres!
- I want to learn/improve how to write research papers!
- I want to learn/practice different parts of speech!
- I want general reading/writing/spelling improvement.
- I want to be able to read/retell parts of a story to improve my comprehension.

**NOTE: This class is set up for 30 minute sections, but you can schedule time blocks of 30 consecutive minutes to equal up to 2 hours depending on what is best for your individual learner.**
