Description
Class Experience
Knowing and understanding how to find measurements of various shapes are an essential part of geometry, and math in general. This is the second part of the Beginning Geometry series, where students will be taught about finding the area and perimeter, of four shapes: squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles. A key to knowing how to find the area and perimeter is first knowing the basic definition of each shape. Included are their parts and how they form. For example, when studying circles,...
Gain knowledge about parts of a triangle, namely the base and height Review length and width of a rectangle Review sides of a square Study circumference, diameter and radius of a circle Define area and perimeter of a square Define area and perimeter of a rectangle Define area and perimeter of a triangle Define area and perimeter of a circle
Learner progress is assessed through word problems, fill-in-the-blank, and multiple-choice questions in the session.
