In commemoration of Black History Month, this class will cover five important everyday inventions that we use that have been invented by African-Americans. Like Black history, this information is important not just to African-Americans, but to all people. This class will cover five pioneers and history-makers. There will be some background information about the inventors, including how the inventions were created, and how the patents were developed. Additionally, there will be video clips and pictures talking about these various inventions and their backstories. Some of the that are featured this month will also be mentioned. Lastly, there will be exercises and activities related to these creations, innovations, and the people behind them.

Associate's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Hillsborough Community College
I am a certified online teacher, teaching math, grammar, English, reading, and history at various levels to children and adults. I utilize videoconferencing, audio, videos, whiteboards, and various e-learning techniques for young learners, as well as adult learners. Other areas covered in my courses include algebra, geometry, physics, HTML, and instructional design. students from kindergarten to the 12th grade. Each class is interactive, engaging, thought-provoking, and fun!
I have an MS in Instructional Design and Technology, with 10+ years experience. I have written and published three technical books on Amazon. In November 2018, I received my TEFL certification. My goal has been to not only develop courseware but to also experience teaching. I believe teaching is the core of effective instructional design. My work has included diverse instructional projects helping different learners acquire needed skills and knowledge.
In my spare time, I watch and analyze basketball, partake in social matters and advocacy, exercise, write books and articles, do landscape paintings, and work on interior and exterior housework.
