US Grade 9 - 12
This ongoing course will cover the basics of the Common Core High School Geometry standards. We recommend that students who are either entering High School Geometry or who have just completed Geometry enroll in this course. However, if you feel your child is excelling in math and needs a challenge, please feel free to enroll them! This Summer course will be a great opportunity to get a head start on Geometry concepts or gain more individualized practice for students who have just completed high school Geometry This course will meet once a week. Students will get live instruction and then several options for homework to practice the concept throughout the week. Answer keys will be posted every Friday so that students can check their work. The following topics will be covered throughout the course. Due to the fact that this is an ongoing course, students can register for just the topics they are interested in or need additional assistance with. June 5: Introduction to Geometry June 12: Reasonings and Proofs June 19: Lines July 26: Transformations July 3: Triangles July 10: Quadrilaterals and Other Polygons July 17: Trigonometry/Right Triangles July 24: Circles July 31: Area August 7: Probability August 14: Geometric Transformations
