This is a FLEX class, a video will be uploaded to the Outschool Platform weekly on the day of class. In a FLEX schedule class, there are class video instructions, discussion boards, Jamboard activities where students will be encouraged to contribute, links / codes provided to resources based on area of learning, and activities, posted weekly where students interact with each other within the Outschool classroom. All material will be posted within the platform unless indicated elsewhere such as Google Slides / Jamboard / docs or Nearpod but will be accessed through Outschool.

Students can post videos, their own videos and or photos and respond to each other. Every class will be different in size depending on enrollment so the amount of interaction and discussion will vary. Students have the option to reply to discussion and posts at times thats suit their time zone and schedule as students will be from all over the world.

Children can also handwrite assignments as well as record video responses and use their illustration talents to get their message across. Some of the most exciting websites, videos and books are full of creative presentation.

This class will also encourage lots of talking opportunities- the better talkers we are the better writers we become. Talking through our writing helps to plan for good content. Children can send audios or videos via the Outschool platform to talk through their plans or to ask questions if they prefer to writing.

As the lesson teacher, I will respond in a variety of ways such as video so that students or written feedback. I also will respond to every student within 24 hours of their posting. I will provide an evaluation at the end of the course and give feedback along the way.

Asynchronous learning, learning that is not live face to face with a classroom teacher, is becoming more a more popular as it allows for differing schedules and for you to access this lesson no matter what time zone you. are residing in!
