Beginner - Advanced Level
Keep your writing skills sharp this summer with the IEW Summer Skills Lab! This interactive class is designed to help students practice and retain key IEW techniques in a fun, low-pressure environment. Each week, we will focus on a different dress-up or sentence opener, ensuring that students continue to build strong, varied writing skills. Students will write one short paragraph per week, reinforcing structure and style while keeping writing manageable over the summer. We will also practice keyword outlining in different ways to strengthen comprehension, organization, and note-taking skills. Additionally, students will apply IEW vocabulary words to their writing, enhancing word choice and expanding their expressive abilities. This class is perfect for students who have already been introduced to IEW methods and want to maintain and refine their skills over the summer. With engaging activities, clear instruction, and weekly practice, students will head into the next school year with confidence in their writing abilities.
