Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Week 1: CD Sun Catcher -CD - Permanent Markers of various colors - Tape Week 2: Resist Painting- Birch Tree -Jar of Water -Table covering -Smock -Paintbrushes of varying sizes -Canvas board -Towel -Wide painter's tape (the kind you get at the hardware store for home painting projects) -Paintbrush (flat top) -Acrylic paint (Dark Blue, Light Blue, Purple, Dark Green, Light Green, Yellow, Red, Orange) Week 3: Make your own clay and figurines -1 Cup of Flour (125g) -1/2 cup of salt (64g) -1/2 cup water (64g) -Bowl -Spoon -Cookie sheet for drying Week 4: Galaxy in a Bottle -Glass jar with lid (mason jar) -Cotton balls ( about a bags worth) -Food coloring or acrylic paint -Water ( between 4-5 cups) - Glitter Week 5: Tissue Paper Painting -Tissue paper (multicolor) -Canvas Board -Elmer's Glue -Water -A cup to mix water and glue in -Paintbrush -Pencil Week 6: Foil Prints: -Aluminum foil -Paper -Acrylic or tempera paint -Q-tips -Paintbrush Week 7: Art Journaling: -A sketchbook, journal, or a few pieces of paper -Markers -Magazines or newspapers -Scissors -Colored Pencils and regular pencils -Plastic or ziplock bag -Non-permanent markers -Any other tool or material you would like to play with and experiment with. Week 8: Happy Accident Watercolor Painting: -Watercolor Paints -Watercolor paper -Brushes -Water in a jar -India ink (can be found at Walmart in the art section) OR fine tip sharpie marker -Shish kabob sticks -Towel -Apron -Newspaper for table Week 9: Tangle Pattern Drawing: -Paper -Pencil (colored and regular) -Sharpie (thin tip and thick tip) Week 10:Sunset Silhouette Painting -Acrylic or watercolor paint -Paint brushes -Water and containers -Thick paper -Black construction paper -Scissors -Smock -Paper towel -Newspaper for table
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using scissors, parental guidance may be needed at the discretion of the guardian.
