Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
If you want to learn all about magic, this is the place for you! In this educational magic class, you will be taught why magic happens when misdirection, sleights and props are used in the right way. You will see many different prop demonstrations to help you find the ones you might want to use. You will even learn a few tricks to get you started.

The teaching format is fun yet informative so that the learner will know how to make magic with what they have around the house and where to find manufactured magic tricks, supplies and resources for their needs.
We will talk about the choice of buying a magic kit for kids versus acquiring one trick at a time.
*This class will save you a lot of time and money by teaching you how and where to shop for supplies.*
I will demonstrate a variety of effects that will help the learner decide where to start and what type of tricks they may be interested in doing.
We will also take a look at performing a trick properly with a good patter and presentation as well as getting the most from your magic tricks and taking card of them.
Performing tricks teaches us how to plan, trouble shoot, think on our feet and be creative in all we do. I present these concepts throughout the class lesson as well.
No experience is necessary, but any level will benefit from this class as I wrap up all the magic essentials.

Who's the man behind the tricks?
As part of my artistic background, I've enjoyed performing magic since I was about 10 years old. My father would take me to the magic shop on the weekend where I would buy tricks. I've built an extensive magic collection over the years that I enjoy sharing in class. I now create and build my own tricks, as well. I'm a member of the I.B.M., The International Brotherhood of Magicians. I recently was awarded first place in a close-up magic competition at my local magic club.
